The big change to the new 2018 Elantra is the new SEL trim, which replaces the SE edition with the Popular Equipment Package. This mid-level trim will be complete standard with safety systems like blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and lane change assist. For technology, you'll have a rearview camera, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and more. The higher Limited and Sport trims also add more safety systems, infotainment features and some nice interior accents that really make the new Elantra pop. The Elantra has always made its name known with the amount of standard and optional technology features you can add to the mix, and the new 2018 edition promises more of what drivers are looking for.

As much as these changes and upgrades are welcome, it's what remains the same that really makes the new 2018 Hyundai Elantra a great choice for a daily commuter. The standard four-cylinder engine is smooth and quiet, and offers a very good fuel efficiency rating, while the optional turbocharged four in the Sport trim boosts your performance past 200 horsepower, all while keeping the mpgs at an acceptable level.
